Business Need
UKG implemented a new content management system that content developers would use to create content deliverables, including curriculum guides, user guides, job aids, and translated content for use across the organization and for multiple audiences.
Part of the challenge of implementing this new content management system was that it required a completely new approach to content development. Content developers would need to create topics using a structured authoring methodology, which allows for reuse of content among different deliverable types.
This project required training both existing content developers and any incoming new hires going forward on how to use the content management system.
Analysis and Design
For this project, I led a team of subject matter experts and curriculum developers to design and create a blended curriculum with the following elements.

Self-paced course developed in Articulate Rise to cover the concepts behind using structured authoring when creating learning deliverables.

Scheduled review sessions with a Heretto mentor to review the hands-on activities included in the Structured Authoring Concepts and Terminology self-paced course.

Self-paced course that covers processes for creating various deliverables in Heretto.

Multiple practice activity sessions scheduled during the two weeks learners are taking the Heretto Content Development self-paced course, which allow the learners to get hands-on experience with Heretto while having their mentor and fellow mentees available in real-time sessions to discuss issues and ask questions.

Performance support job aid to help content developers create structured job aids in Heretto.
